Congestive Heart Failure and the Heart Healthy Diet
Congestive heart failure, or CHF, is a medical condition in terms of heart. When diagnosed with CHF, the patient has a weakened heart that can not properly pump blood to the body. This condition requires extensive treatment and lifestyle changes to live a healthy and normal life as possible. Such lifestyle changes include medication regime, which is the power of a heart healthy diet. While all these factors are important, based on a strict diet is a key element for the control of congestive heart failure and to ensure the best quality of life that may occur while living with this condition. A heart healthy diet includes low sodium intake, low fat and calorie intake and reduced fluid intake.
