Worries about potential health problems from conventional milk have parents paying more attention to what goes into dairy products, and that means paying attention to what's going into the cows that give us milk. More and more dairies are stopping the use of artificial hormones in their cows, as more consumers demand milk from cows not injected with synthetic hormones such as the bovine growth hormone rBGH (also referred to as rBST), which is injected into milking cows to increase their production.
